Our focus for February was to fall in love with non-fiction
reading. We challenged our students to read
and pass 5,000 NF AR books. We’re so
happy that our students met and exceeded the challenge because as of Friday,
February 27th, they read 6,274 books! As a reward, PI will have a school-wide dance
during specials on March 27th.
Our theme this year is the 1980’s.
This should be fun!
These are the totals from each grade.
In third grade- students read 2,679 NF books.
In fourth grade- students read 1,784 NF books and
In Fifth grade, students read 1,811 NF books.
The following classes are the top in each grade and will get an extra recess from Mrs. McGough.
In third Grade: Mrs. Horn’s Class with 232 books.
In fourth grade: Mrs. Waites Class with 270 books.
In fifth grade: Mrs. Lewis’ Class with 332.
A huge congratulations to these classes. Our students are
smarter after reading all these books. Keep on READING! As Dr. Seuss says: "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." ~Dr. Seuss, I Can Read with My Eyes Shut!~
